In today’s society, children are often treated as secondary—spoken for, negotiated over, or reshaped to serve adult priorities. Greater Than works from a different premise: children’s rights should not be overridden by adult feelings or desires.

Welcome to Greater Than.
A coalition of parents, students, researchers, think tanks, influencers, and citizens who are willing to state the self-evident but costly truth: children need, deserve, and have a right to their mother and father. Marriage is and always has been the most effective tool to secure that right.
We believe in justice and in protecting the vulnerable. We simply recognize that the truly vulnerable are children—those harmed when their rights are sacrificed in service of adult desires. We are willing to fight for them, personally and politically, because they cannot fight for themselves.
Restoring marriage to the child-protecting institution it was meant to be requires three things:
- A judicial and policy strategy that centers children’s needs
- Changing public opinion so Americans understand the link between natural marriage and child protection
- A church transformed into a child-centered fighting force
Greater Than exists to do all three.
In a world that routinely asks children to bear the cost of adult choices, we have the audacity to insist on the opposite: adults should sacrifice in matters of marriage and family—not children. We are committed to restoring laws and policies that place responsibility where it belongs—on the shoulders of adults, not the backs of children.
